Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

BIZ Connect, part of the BIZ (Business Interaction Zone) community, runs the website www.bizconnect.co.in and the BIZ Connect Membership. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and the choices you have. It is written to follow the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.

2. What we collect

• When you register: your full name, business name, what your business does, city, WhatsApp number, email address and, if you choose, your offerings and demands.
• When you send an enquiry: your name, WhatsApp number, city, email and business name if given, what you are interested in and your message.
• When you pay: the payment ID and status from Razorpay. Your card, UPI and bank details go directly to Razorpay; we never see or store them.
• When you browse: basic technical data your browser sends, such as IP address and device type, kept in server logs for security. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

3. Why we use it

• to process your registration and payment, and send your GST invoice;
• to set up your BIZ app access and contact you on WhatsApp, phone or email about your membership;
• to reply to your enquiries;
• to show your business listing to other members, on the BIZ website and on BIZ social media, with your consent;
• to keep the service secure and meet our legal and tax obligations.

We do not sell your personal data.

4. Your consent

You give consent when you submit a form on this website. You can withdraw it at any time by emailing contact@bizconnect.co.in. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything done before, but we may then be unable to continue your membership.

5. Who we share it with

• Other BIZ members, through your listing and the app, as described above.
• Razorpay, to process payments.
• Our hosting and messaging providers, who store data and deliver messages for us under confidentiality obligations.
• WhatsApp (Meta), when you choose to contact us or we contact you on WhatsApp.
• Authorities, only when the law requires it.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your data while your membership is active and for up to 12 months after it ends, so you can rejoin easily. Payment and invoice records are kept for 8 years, as Indian tax law requires. Enquiries that do not lead to a membership are deleted within 12 months. After that, data is deleted or anonymised.

7. Keeping it safe

Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access is limited to the BIZ Connect team members who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data and will tell you and the authorities if a breach affects you, as the law requires.

8. Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can:

• ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how it is used;
• ask us to correct, complete or update it;
• ask us to delete it, unless we must keep it by law;
• withdraw your consent;
• nominate someone to exercise these rights for you;
• raise a grievance with us, and then with the Data Protection Board of India.

To use any of these rights, email contact@bizconnect.co.in. We will reply within 30 days.

9. Grievance Officer

For any complaint about how your data is handled, contact our Grievance Officer at contact@bizconnect.co.in or 1st Floor, Amit Chamber, NH48, Near Burger King, Gunjan, Vapi - 396191. We will acknowledge your complaint within 48 hours and resolve it within 30 days.

10. Children

The membership is only for adults aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The latest version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated.
